I knew from the inception that National K-9 Academy was going to be different than any other daycare, boarding or training facility I had ever seen or visited. I knew this because I opened it for my own dogs first and foremost. This is why we have REAL natural, lush Bermuda grass, Saltwater pools (yes, plural!), open at 6am and close at 8pm and we are always available for drop offs, pick ups and tours at any time during those hours. It's why we are such a transparent facility where you can see the expanse of our outdoor play areas as soon as you pull into our parking lot. As soon as you walk inside our facility you will be warmly (if not comically) greeted by a few of our former rescues and you can immediately see where the daycare dogs get to relax inside on sofas, off the floor dog beds and each other!
We believe in standing behind our training with a LIFETIME MONEYBACK OBEDIENCE GUARANTEE on all of our obedience training. We also opened our hearts and our facility to care for many less fortunate, abused and homeless dogs when we founded Mid-Atlantic Weimaraner Rescue which embodies the essence of what we do here at Thee Dog House.
National K9 Academy is managed and run not by one but by THREE professional dog trainers each on staff daily. We have trained and are the proud home to multiple, national level, titled champions in competitive obedience, conformation and dock diving. Some of our dogs have set world records, been the very first of their breed to accomplish national level wins, have earned mulitple prestigious invitations to exclusive performance and conformation events, have appeared on numerous national and local tv broadcasts, been in local and national newspapers, used by major dog food manuafactureres for their advertising and had several books written about their many accolades. One of our dogs is featured in the current AKC New Puppy Handbook! These are just a few of the things we’ve done so far with our weimaraners who came to us through our own rescue efforts. We do this for a reason….to show everyone that when you give a dog the things they need most, exercise, socialization, training and love… ANYTHING is possible!
